Scorecard: Downtown


Is this neighborhood appealing to live in?
Not particularly-- definitely not for families.

What are the housing options?

Apartment buildings are dispersed throughout the area.

Hows the general safety of the area?
Relatively safe during the day.

Is there public transportation?
Yes, there is easy access to the RTA (from tower city) and the health line also runs through the area. RTA buses are also available to patrons.

Is there parking?
There is very little street parking with meters with a one-hour limit. The parking lots are very expensive to park in, somewhere around $20.00.






Is there a nearby public school?
No.

Demographic of residents?
Hard to tell, but we presume that mostly people who work in the area, including college students.

Whats the nightlife like?
There are many hip bars and restaurants in this area (especially on east 4th street). There is a new casio open as well as Playhouse Square, the main theater downtown. Sports games and a variety of concerts are also held downtown. This is the place to be for special events in Cleveland.

Local Restaurants?
There are lots of upscale restaurants as well as some more casual dining options. If you're looking for a high quality meal, east 4th street is a great place to go. 

Activities?
See "nightlife".


Green space?
Public square holds a war memorial that is worth checking out.



Shops?
Cleveland Clothing Company and some other small boutiques are dispersed throughout the area, but shopping is not the main draw to this area.
